Meet the Cast of The Prince of Egypt in London. Scott Schwartz (Stephen Schwartz's son) will direct the London staging, having previously helmed the 2017 world premiere at the TheatreWorks Silicon Valley (this year's Regional Theatre Tony Award recipient) in a co-production with Fredericia Teater Denmark. Ahead of the new musical’s opening in London, check out the cast bringing the animated film to the stage. Additionally, the creative team includes set designer Kevin Depinet, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, lighting designer Mike Billings, sound designer Gareth Owen, projection designer Jon Driscoll, and illusion designer Chris Fisher. A cast reflecting the diversity of Britain as well as a story that is essentially the Book of Exodus have been promised for the upcoming West End blockbuster The Prince of Egypt. The show will feature songs Schwartz penned for the movie (including the Oscar-winning “When You Believe”), as well as new numbers written for the stage adaptation. Cast members from the Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical—including Lin-Manuel Miranda himself—offered a voter mobilization twist to the show’s lyrics on National Voter Registration Day.
